Sometimes we find ourselves wanting to purchase a random over-sized item from EBAY, Sphock or Gumtree. That piece of vintage furniture that we just must have, I found myself in that situation many times. Living in London I haven’t found the need to own a car for quite a few years now. If I’m purchasing something oversized I used to hire a car as a one-off, but now with all the extras that London car hire carries I have found it much cheaper to find a man with a van. There are a number of sites that will help you price your collection / delivery, from the size/weight to how quickly you’d like the item delivered. Having made some connections with reliable individuals I now have my own three reliable man with a van which cater for both short and long haul journeys at reasonable prices.
